Giuseppe Mazzini, 1801-1872, is an intriguing figure in history, which makes this postcard a valuable collector's piece. The postcard is in great condition. The ink stamps on card are in Italian possibly. The card has three old stamps as well with Mazzini's name on them. Unclear when the card was made. It's estimated that it was made in early 1900s.
I've owned this card for several years along with my other vintage postcard collection. I have yet to see anything like it or close to it.
Vintage postcards are valued on their rarity, age and condition. If the postcard has a historic person or entity on it it is considered more valuable to collectors. Some postcards have sold for thousands of dollars.
The oldest known picture postcard sold in 2002 at the London Stamp Exchange auction for just under $50,000 dollars: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1862284.stm
This postcard may be worth more than what I've listed it for, however, I'd like to pass this valuable piece to someone that will appreciate it as much as I have over the years and let it continue its journey with someone else.

An uncompromising republican, he refused to participate in the parliamentary government that was established under the monarchy of the House of Savoy when Italy became unified and independent (1861)..."
